Sound.

All of your songs have an awesome sound to them. What do you use to record the guitar and what kind of guitar do you use? Also the drums are really good. What do you use for them?

Percussion

I love the percussion in the song... I can never get a god swoosh before snare hits in my songs. I like that type of sound. What did you use?

DJ-Steeve responds:

for the drum I used vegeance essential drum sound 2 and 3.
And for the swoosh before the snare I used the method from Trancecrafter.

Wow.

This piece is amazing. Nice work. I just started piano 6 months ago, you put me to shame. Did you use a keyboard then use a VST to generate the effect? Or did you use condenser microphones to record a real piano?

MrMusicalLion responds:

Reason 5 + Reason Pianos refill
^ most amazing piano samples EVER.
I played this all on a keyboard and that was all. No added effects,
Except a bit of preliminary fiddling around to find a nice sound [adjusting reverb etc slightly]

This isn't my best piece of music, either, lol, have a look at Spirited Steed when you get a chance ;)

Thanks for the review - and good luck with the piano! If you want help then ask
me, will be more than willing to drop you some hints/tips/guidance and so on.

It's true.

Yup.

Sick...

I love songs like this... What did you use for the basses and synth? It sounds really good.

Awesome work. Could be longer but....
4/5

Very interesting!

I really like the piano melody. It's really spicy and warm if you know what I mean. It could be even better if it were less repetitive and longer. What did you use to make that awesome synth at 1:00? (it slowly fades in)

This can be good...

The skipping noise added really tears this tune up. It has a great build, lots of instruments at once. But lose the skipping and that really really "hard core" sounding synth in the back.

Just giving you my opinion :)

Santerio responds:

Thank you for a review that actually helps! The "Hardcore" synth in the back was supposed to add somekind of bass to the song, but apparently it is more like a synth...

Awesome!

What did you use for the trance lead? I love it!

Omnivore responds:

In Native Instruments: Massive (the vsti plugin), there is a preset called Cruithne's Orbit that I tweaked a bit to my liking (:

Awesome.

How did you get that sound? What plugin did you use? I'm loving the 8-bit sound.
Nice work.

RoccoW responds:

Actually, the whole song was written on an original Gameboy, using an EMS Cartridge with LSDJ. The sound you're hearing is pure Gameboy, with slightly enhanced volume via Audacity :) These kind of reactions are the exact reason why I like to work on a Gameboy ^^

Nice.

You sound like James Hetfield! (If that's you singing)
The quality of the guitar recorded isn't that good. But your skills are pretty impressive. And the drums kick some ass too.

Are you recording threw your amp with a microphone? It sure sounds like it. Not that it's bad! It's just when you record with microphones into your amp, it's hard to get a 'close up' and 'low end' feel.

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

Glad you dig it. Yes it is me singing, and thanks for the compliments.

The guitar is supreme quality, direct recorded from my line 6 pod x3 into my line in. The guitars are layered. 2 tones left and same 2 tones right...played 4 separate times.

Perhaps you aren't listening on quality speakers. Or just have different tastes. Its all good. Thanks for the review!
